{"id":278,"date":"2010-03-07T16:12:09","date_gmt":"2010-03-08T00:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/?p=278"},"modified":"2011-09-15T14:27:16","modified_gmt":"2011-09-15T21:27:16","slug":"a-new-treasure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/?p=278","title":{"rendered":"A New Treasure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently I managed to pick up a copy of the (apparently) super-rare copy of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/?page_id=401&amp;album=24&amp;gallery=100\">September 2004<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.ru\/\" target=\"_blank\">Russian edition of Rolling Stone magazine<\/a>. This issue features the first, from what I can tell, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/#hl=en&amp;source=hp&amp;q=tatu+anime&amp;aq=f&amp;aqi=&amp;aql=&amp;oq=&amp;fp=37cc007d907fcf6c\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153anime style\u00e2\u20ac\u009d image<\/a> of the Russian pop duo \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/T.A.T.u.\" target=\"_blank\">Tatu<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122. I have been looking for this issue for a few years now and up until recently have never even seen a single copy listed on any site. I was actually to the point of thinking that it may not exist (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.ru\/magazines\/year\/2004\" target=\"_blank\">even though it is clearly listed on the Russian Rolling Stone web site<\/a>) given it was only the third issue of that countries\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 version of the magazine which appears to have launched in July 2004. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t read Russian, so please correct me if you do.<\/p>\n<p>As noted the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/wp-content\/gallery\/february-2010\/tatu-rolling-stone-01.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">cover<\/a> features the pair (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tatugirls.com\/bio\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lena Katina &amp; Julia Volkova<\/a>) in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153anime\/manga style\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with a pregnant version of Julia. The issue also features a short \u00e2\u20ac\u0153manga styled\u00e2\u20ac\u009d story spanning four pages. You can see them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/wp-content\/gallery\/february-2010\/tatu-rolling-stone-02.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/wp-content\/gallery\/february-2010\/tatu-rolling-stone-03.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animerepublic.net\/wp-content\/gallery\/february-2010\/tatu-rolling-stone-04.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. There is no text so there is nothing to translate.
